360° practice-based learning

As a student of the M.A. in Conference Interpreting graduate program, you will receive 300 hours of hands-on training in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting and sight translation. 50% of your training will take place in our Interpreting Lab using interpreting booths, where you will also receive intensive training in resources and equipment available to professional interpreters.

You will practice all three major forms of conference interpreting and in both directions, English to Greek and vice-versa. The material you will work with covers a variety of topics, including EU, international politics, business, law, and medicine, in a broad range of formats.

What our graduates say

For me, a highlight of the program would definitely be the Mock Conferences, delivered by professional, practicing interpreters who generously provide their language-specific insight, as well as their experience acquired within today’s working environment. I feel deeply grateful for all the support and mentoring I have been offered for my academic and professional development.

Katerina Papamarkou, MACI ‘20

Translator-Interpreter

The program fully met my expectations. It prepared me well for work in formal settings such as high-level international meetings and conferences. And it was taught by a team of highly qualified instructors, all of them professional interpreters, who not only conveyed their knowledge but also instilled in us a strong sense of discipline, self-confidence, and professionalism. I strongly recommend it.
